Hi, I’m William
I started in payroll as a clerk 17 years ago and worked my way up through supervisor and manager to director, running payroll for businesses across Canada and the U.S. The whole way, my goal stayed the same: simplify the work, reduce errors and make everything as efficient as possible.
When I started, everything was entered into systems line by line. I built Excel sheets full of formulas to speed that up, then macros, then a web page that ran those macros and produced import-ready sheets. Eventually I led a development team that built our own payroll platform and connected it directly with a major payroll provider.
Now I want to bring that same approach to local businesses here in Durham Region.
I’m not a salesperson. I just like seeing a messy process become a smooth one, and I care about the people I build for.
A few things I’ve built
- A full weekly payroll audit across 900 companies that checks for compliance issues in minutes, work that used to take a team of seven people every week
- A setup sheet where details are entered once and eight separate forms fill themselves in
- Billing tools that combine several reports into finished invoices and approval files in one step
